E-Week DC Conference on Foreign Engagement and Global Coverage under the New Defense Plan: FAOs, Security Cooperation, and the Defense Attaché System

Relaying information about this conference from the national FAO Association website.  Of note, this worthwhile conference takes place during enrichment week.  Please check their website for updates on specific conference details (perhaps they will shorten the conference name)?

Foreign Engagement and Global Coverage under the New Defense Plan:  FAOs, Security Cooperation, and the Defense Attaché System

On 18-19 September 2012, FAOA and the National Military Intelligence Association (NMIA) will co-sponsor a 2-Day SECRET-level Symposium in the Washington DC area entitled "Foreign Engagement and Global Coverage under the New Defense Plan:  FAOs, Security Cooperation, and the Defense Attaché System."  The Symposium will feature senior-level speakers from the DoD and Military Service FAO and language communties; the primary users of FAOs:  DIA, the Defense Security and Cooperation Agency, and the COCOMs; and representatives from the FAO-related training community--NPS, JMAS, DISAM, and DLI; as well as a panel of current Senior Defense Official (SDO)/DATTs.  The symposium will explore, provide information on, and help shape the future of the missions, organization, and integration of the U.S. military presence at embassies around the world and the critical role played by joint service FAOs.

A special thanks to the volunteers of the FAOA Conference Committee who are working with NMIA on this great event!
